Exporting and deleting your data
how to download a full copy of your data and how to request deletion, with 30 days to change your mind.

Downloading all your data
The "Download all our data" button gives you a file with everything about your company in Fold: one document per data type (users, conversations, uploaded files, invoices, support tickets, feature requests...) plus the actual files in your storage.
For your own security, this copy never includes: passwords, two-factor secrets, recovery codes, session tokens, or any internal notes David may have on your account. For AI usage, only when and what it was used for is exported — never its internal cost.
Requesting deletion (account closure)
Requesting account closure is the first step toward full deletion (for everything else that comes with leaving Fold, see "Cancelling your account"). It's requested by the owner, with their password and their two-factor code if they have it enabled.
The 30 days to change your mind
After requesting closure, you have 30 days before anything is actually deleted. During that window you can undo it at any time, either from the app or by replying to the email you received, and nothing will have been touched.
What gets deleted once the window ends
After 30 days, everything is deleted for real: accounts, conversations, files in storage, custom features, and any other trace of your company in Fold, including in the next round of backup rotation.
The only thing that's kept
By legal requirement, only already-issued invoices are kept separately, for as long as the law requires (several years), carrying just the name and tax ID needed for accounting — nothing else about your activity in Fold.
Your consent history
The same Privacy screen also shows which version of the terms of use and privacy policy each person on your team has accepted, and whether there's a newer version waiting to be accepted.
