Delete my data

How to ask for your data to be deleted, in what time frame, and what the law makes us keep.

This page explains how to request deletion of your data, whether you used the chat assistant on this website (Fold's free demo), your company has a Fold subscription, or you connected a social account (Facebook or Instagram) to the Fold Burnao account.

Who is responsible

David Burnao (Fold Burnao). Email: davidburnao@gmail.com. The company's tax ID and registered address are in the (Spanish) legal notice.

How to request deletion

Write to davidburnao@gmail.com telling us what you want deleted: your conversation with this website's chat assistant, your account and company data inside the Fold app, or something related to a Facebook or Instagram connection (mention the account you used to get in touch, for that last case). We reply confirming the request, and if we need to verify it is really you asking, we say so in that same reply.

What gets deleted, and when

  • This website's chat: the conversation never leaves your browser, so there is nothing to delete on our side. The one exception is when the assistant doesn't know how to answer: the text of that question is then stored, with no name, no IP address and nothing that could identify who asked it (see the Spanish privacy policy). You can still ask for it to be reviewed or removed.
  • Your account and company data inside the Fold app: once you cancel, there is a 30-day window to change your mind; after that, every row of your data, your file storage and your question history are deleted. This reaches backups too, which purge deleted data on their next rotation.
  • Waiting list and calls: if you signed up to hear when sign-up opens, or booked a call, we delete your email and the booking details as soon as we receive your request.
  • A Facebook or Instagram connection: Fold Burnao only uses that connection to publish its own content to its own Page or account; it does not read data belonging to other users of those platforms. If you still want something stored from that connection deleted (for example, your contact details if you reached out through it), we do it as soon as we receive your request.

What we don't delete

Invoices issued to your company are kept for as long as the law requires (6 years), with only the tax ID and name that obligation covers. And if your company used the free 7-day trial, an irreversible fingerprint of the tax ID and the card (it cannot be turned back into either) is kept only so that trial can't be repeated. Everything else follows the time frame above.

Your rights

Besides deletion, you can request access, correction, objection, restriction and portability of your data by writing to the same email address. If you think your data hasn't been handled properly, you can complain to Spain's data protection authority (aepd.es). More detail in the (Spanish) privacy policy.
