The 80% warning

what alerts you get as you approach your monthly question limit, and what to do if you need more room.

So you're never caught off guard before hitting your plan's limit, Fold warns you at two separate points.

The email, at 80%

As soon as your company reaches 80% of the questions included in this month's plan, the account owner gets an email showing how many questions you've used, how many the plan includes, and when they renew. The email also explains the two ways out if you need more before the renewal: adding an extra block of questions or upgrading your plan.

The in-app warning, at 80% and 95%

Beyond the email, whoever is asking questions inside the app itself sees an on-screen warning at 80%, and a more urgent one at 95% of the month. It makes sense for it to come a bit later than the email: it's a warning inside the conversation itself, not something that could get lost in an inbox. Each warning appears only once per threshold per month, so it doesn't repeat.

If you hit 100%

Once the month's questions run out, Fold stops answering with AI until the counter resets, or until you add an extra block or upgrade your plan. Your data and everything else in your account stay exactly as they were.

If your account has its own contract terms

If your account has a special arrangement with David (for example, a plan at a contracted price instead of the standard one), the usage warning includes a note: going over that contract's limit isn't covered by it, so an extra block or an upgrade is billed separately, by card, just like for any other company.

Checking your usage anytime

You don't have to wait for a warning: Account › Usage always shows the detail of how many questions you've used today, this week, and this month.
