What files and programs it connects to today
Fold reads your Excel and CSV files from day one, with nothing to convert. Once you sign up, it also connects to Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive and Dropbox, always with read-only access: you choose which folders it can see, and you can revoke access whenever you want from inside the app, without having to ask anyone technical. SharePoint and a generic connector for any other software you already use are coming soon.
When it doesn't know, it says so
If a piece of data isn't in the file you've uploaded, Fold says so instead of making something up. And if two rows could both be the answer, it shows you both instead of picking one. In a small business with nobody double-checking every answer, that honesty is what lets you actually trust what it tells you.
What happens if something goes wrong
Fold only reads what you choose, with read-only access: it never writes, moves or deletes anything in your original files. If something doesn't work the way you expected, you can revoke its access from inside the app at any time, with no complicated cancellation process. And if the free plan turns out not to be enough, upgrading or downgrading is also done from inside the app.
What happens the first time you upload a file
The first time you upload a file, Fold doesn't just start answering — it detects the sheets, the header row, and the type of each column, and suggests what each one means, drawing on the terms typical of the sector you chose when signing up. You confirm that mapping before anything gets used, and if something isn't clear, it asks instead of assuming. It's a step that takes a few minutes, and only needs repeating when the file's structure changes, not every time you upload a new one in the same format as always.
Who's responsible for keeping it running
Nobody needs to be dedicated to keeping Fold running. There's no server to restart, no update to install by hand: improvements arrive on their own, and the only thing that changes on your end is which files you give it and what you ask it. If you ever switch software or the way you keep your data, all it takes is uploading the new file and confirming again what each column means — no migration process involved.

The free plan: up to 2 questions a day and 10 a week. Paid plans start at €49.99 a month (500 questions) and go up to €249.99 a month (10,000 questions), with an AI that can chain several steps together from the Standard plan up. Prices are shown before tax: tax is added depending on the country your business is registered in. No lock-in — you cancel from inside the app.

If down the line you find you need something Fold doesn't do yet, you request it from inside the app: you describe what you need, and you're told the price and the timeline before accepting anything. A small tweak from €59.99 and 3 business days, a new feature from €399.99 and 10 business days, and for something large, a free 30-minute call, with a quote afterwards.
