What Fold is, in one line

Fold is the AI assistant your own team uses to ask about your company's files (rates, stock, the same notebook you've always kept) and it answers with the exact row each figure comes from. It isn't an assistant for your customers, and it isn't a chatbot bolted onto a website: it's a work tool, pointed inward.

An assistant for your team, not your customers

Say «AI assistant» and most people picture something public-facing: it answers whoever visits a website, settles a customer's question. Fold is different. Your own people use it, from a computer or a phone, so they don't have to dig through a spreadsheet or wait for someone else to look it up for them. Each company gets its own Fold, with its own files: what belongs to one company is never seen by another.

How it answers, step by step

1. It reads your files. The ones you choose, whenever they change. Show it a new spreadsheet once, and it already knows what each column means.
2. It finds the data and checks it. If two figures could both be the answer, it doesn't pick one for you: it shows you both.
3. It answers with its source. The answer, plus the exact file and row it came from, so anyone on your team can check it.

What it connects to today, and what's coming

Fold reads your Excel and CSV files from day one. Once you sign up, it also connects to Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive and Dropbox, always with read-only access: you choose which folders it can see, and you can revoke access at any time from inside the app. SharePoint and a generic connector for «any program your company uses» are being built and are coming soon; if your company runs on a system that isn't on the list yet, it can be requested as a custom automation.

When it doesn't know, it says so

Everything else rests on this one rule: if a piece of data isn't in your files, Fold tells you instead of making something up. That's the difference between an assistant you can use to decide something and one you have to double-check every time it answers.

It's AI, and it says so

Since 2 August 2026, Article 50 of the EU AI Act has been in force: an AI assistant has to disclose that it's AI. Fold introduces itself as what it is, before anyone has to ask.

How it protects your data

Fold reads a copy of your files, never the original, and connects with read-only access: it never writes, moves or deletes anything of yours. What belongs to each company is seen only by that company — there's no shared bucket where data from different businesses gets mixed together.

Plans, from a free trial to the whole company

You start on the free plan, no card required: up to 2 questions a day and 10 a week, enough to try it with your own files. Paid plans run from €49.99 a month (500 questions) up to €249.99 a month (10,000 questions), with an AI that can work through several questions in one go from the Standard plan up. Prices are shown before tax: tax is added according to your company's country when you pay. No lock-in — you cancel from inside the app.

If you need something Fold doesn't do yet

You request it from inside the app itself, no calls or extra forms: you describe what you need, with what data and which systems, and you're told the price and the timeline before you accept anything. A small tweak to something that already exists starts at €59.99 and 3 business days; a new feature starts at €399.99 and 10 business days; and for something large — anything that integrates with another system or touches money or customer data — a free 30-minute call, with a quote afterwards.

If Fold works for you, you can refer it

Every company using Fold gets its own referral code inside the app. If you refer Fold to another company and it stays on a paid plan, you get a discount on the custom automations you request afterwards: between 5% and 15% depending on their plan, added to your own plan's discount, up to 50% during the launch (the first 100 companies), and up to 20% after that. Your own monthly fee is always charged in full, and the company you refer gets 100 free questions in its first paid month.

Which businesses this works for

Fold isn't built for one industry: it works with whatever you upload, whether that's an accounting firm with its rates and deadlines, a transport company with its warehouse spreadsheet, a repair shop with its quotes, or a retailer with its catalog. All it needs is for that data to exist in some file or folder you can connect it to.

Where it's already running

The same mechanism behind Fold — read, check, answer with the source — is already working behind two real cases: an accounting firm that's stopped typing in its invoices and statements, and a logistics company whose clients check their own stock from their phone. Both are told without names, out of respect for the real clients who use them.
